2010 Swimmer Placement:

Unsure if your swimmer should attend the 8:30 Beginner or 9 AM "10 and under" practice? Come to one of the practices to see. The coach will be there and can help you with your new swimmer's placement! Just talk to them before the practice and they can help you out.

Practice Levels:

Beginners: Those who may be new to swimming. They may not be able to swim an entire length of the pool or want to attend an hour long practice. These swimmers get a lot of one on one coaching and stroke mechanics. If the swimmer gets to the point that the coach wants them to move up to the 10 and under practice the coach will let them know. This group is usually made up of our youngest swimmers.

10 and Under: These kids will be working on stroke mechanics and starts. These swimmers will be swimmin 25 yard races in the meets and will be training for that distance.

11 and up: These older swimmers will be doing a little more distance as they must swim 50's and 100's. They will spend time working on turns and spend some time on mechanics.

Please attend your assigned practice. Each practice time is geared to the races your swimmer will be in and there will be an emphasis on getting to know the kids your same age. Please talk to the coach if you have an issue with any of these practice guidelines.

Because many schools have school longer than the Brandywine School District we will have two special afternoon practices for those private and PA school kids STILL IN SCHOOL. These practices will be Thurs/Tues June 10th and 15th from 5:30-6:30 PM. These practices will be restricted to kids who are still in school who cannot attend the AM practices. Please note that the pool will be open at this time and we ask that you respect that by staying in the lanes we are alloted.
